When heavy lifting is easier than not heavy lifting

So I'm deloading for a couple weeks. Not only because my lower back was feeling funky for a couple days, but also because I have been long overdue for a deload. I lift heavy all the time, like at least 80% of my 1rm, so every now and then I need to back it off. The weird thing is my upper back is hella sore. And today's chest/shoulders really kicked my ass even though the weight wasn't heavy. I was freaking starving by the time my shift ended at 3pm so I stuffed a turkey sub in my face after work.
I guess it just goes to show you don't have to go heavy all the time, as long as you go hard :) And as much as I love lifting heavy, today made me realize that lifting for reps ain't too bad either. I know how to work hard no matter what I'm doing :)

6 mile run tomorrow. I'm worried that my watch might be dying. Lately it's been acting weird. It froze in the middle of a run, and the last 2 times I ran it couldn't find a connection even after .5 miles, so I gave up and just ran watchless. I'll see how it does tomorrow, then if anything I'll just get a new watch. This thing is almost 2 years old and it's my first watch so I'm not sure how long they are supposed to last before needing replacement. From everyone I've talked to the consensus is it's probably dying. Guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.

KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM by steve finnell

Some Biblical thoughts about knowledge and wisdom.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. (NKJV)

Do most men fear the Lord enough to trust His written word?

Proverbs 15:33 The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, And before honor is humility. (NKJV)

Wisdom comes from fear of the Lord. Pride is the enemy of wisdom.

Proverbs 26:4-5 Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Lest you also be like him. 5 Answer a fool according to his folly, Lest he be wise in his own eyes. (KJV)

Do not accept foolish doctrines as if they have merit.

Proverbs 23:9 Do not speak in the hearing of a fool, For he will despise the wisdom of your words.(NKJV)

Do wise men deny the words of Jesus. Jesus said: Mark 16:16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved... Is it wise God fearing men who say immersion in water is not essential to salvation? Is it God fearing men who say that, Jesus was saying believe and you shall be saved and then as a saved Christian be baptized into a denominational church as a testimony of your faith?

Proverbs 14:6-8 A scoffer seeks wisdom and does not find it, But knowledge is easy to him who understands. 7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, When you do not perceive in him the lips of knowledge. 8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way . But the folly of fools is deceit.(NKJV)

Is it the folly of fools to teach and believe that the meaning of, Acts 2:38 ...be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.., actually means be baptized because your sins have already be forgiven? What could be more deceitful than that teaching that view?

Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. God's knowledge is found in the Bible and the Bible alone.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;(NKJV)

When you search for knowledge and wisdom in church creed books, Bible commentaries, and books written about the Bible, are you trusting in the Lord or are you trusting in your own understanding of the doctrines of men?

Only God has absolute wisdom and knowledge. The Bible is God's instruction book.
