It's Sunday and I am feeling good. Legs aren't really sore anymore, and I did my 1:30 min yoga session this morning. I pretty much left it all out on the field (mat?) and got a really good workout.
I went to lunch with my husband today and we were talking about the drive to be athletic and how it's not "required" in today's world. I said that distance runners must be crazy - the things we put ourselves through are completely optional, and yet we love to suffer through the pain. Heck, people think I'm crazy when I tell them I ran 8 miles on my Saturday morning. He said "No, I think distance runners are simply looking for new experiences and challenges" Yeah. I like that.
Also, this is pretty cool. So I finally got a Georgia license plate for my Jeep since we're gonna be staying around here for awhile. My old state required a front license plate and Georgia does not, so I had to think of something to put in the ugly blank rectangle on the front of my Jeep. Someone on the Spartan Chicked facebook group came up with the best idea - get a black license plate and put a Spartan Race sticker on it! And that's exactly what I did. Behold!
Freakin awesome!
